Last night, five members of the Dreamy Hollow family participated in our local 4-H speech contest.

Everyone did very well and we recieved three first place awards, 1 second place award, and one cloverbud participation award (Cloverbuds aren’t placed). Afterwards everybody went to Braums to celebrate.

Goat Show!

February 15th was the day of our first goat show. We took eight goats to the McClain County Spring Livestock  Show. The following is a list of the goats we took and what they placed. (Note: All does were dry)

NUBIANS

Andrina: 2nd Place Nubian First Freshener

(We were drying her up and she was placed second under a doe in full milk)

Adelle: 1st  Place Nubian Doe Under 1 Year

(The judge said she had exceptional body capacity and lots of potential)

Selah: 4th Place Nubian Doe Under 1 Year

( Selah refused to be shown and threw a big fit in the ring)

ALPINES

Fiona: 1st place 2 to 3 year olds, Best of Breed, Best Goat in Show   

Fiona completely stole the show! She walked into the ring and owned the show, and she knew it! She was literaly strutting around the ring! The judge said she was a superior doe  that really caught your eye.

Bleu: 2nd Place Alpine Doe Under 1 year

Misti: 3rd Place Alpine Doe Under 1 year

All of our does did very well, and we are all looking forward to showing more in the future!
